Because today marks a month since the death in custody of Mahsa Amini, who was detained by the morality police for allegedly wearing her headscarf too loosely, the Kurdish, Iranian and Afghan diasporas called for a rally in the city center to protest against the Islamic Regime and the general oppression of women. Inside Iran, protests keep continuing, despite a brutal crackdown by authorities that Iranians for Justice and Human Rights activists claim have taken more than 200 lives.
