Catherine Zeta Jones's mini-me daughter is set to be the next big thing, here's everything you need to know about the model

With A-listers Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas as parents, it's hardly surprising that Carys Zeta Douglas was destined for stardom.

The 20-year-old joined her parents in Cannes on Tuesday evening as they took to the red carpet. The Academy Award-winning duo made an appearance at the opening ceremony of film festival along with their fledging actress daughter.

The daughter of Catherine and Michael has been making waves on social media recently, especially with her mother posting a slew of pictures of her mini-me on Instagram. In one of the photo's comments section, people rushed to compliment the young star - and couldn't believe the likeness to her mother.

So what do we know about Carys Zeta Douglas and is she set to be the next big thing in fashion? It seems so. Judging by her social media, Carys looks set to follow in her parents' famous footsteps, already lending her good looks to Fendi campaigns and starring in a fashion shoot for Vanity Fair Spain. She is also a hugely talented singer and recently uploaded a video of her singing, on which mum Catherine wrote: “Carys!!!!! Amazing! Wish I was there. Love you. Have a blast baby.”

The fledgling star also graced the cover of Town & Country magazine with her actress mother when she was 15. People took to social media in their droves to comment on the striking similarity between the duo - and even complimented the young star on being 'a breath of fresh air'.

In the interview, the teenager discussed her famous family and the pitfalls it can often bring.

She explained: “When I was younger I didn’t like the idea of having this name attached to me, this kind of 'Douglas dynasty' stuff.

“I think what bothers me the most is that people think I don’t work hard for it.

“That anything I do gets handed to me. When, honestly, I feel like it’s the opposite.

“I feel I need to constantly prove myself to people — that I am not just my parents’ daughter.”

She also spoke about being bullied at school over her father's age, adding that children would cruelly say "your granddad's here to pick you up."

It seems that Carys looks set to follow in her famous parents' footsteps; her Instagram account already has a 200,000-strong following.
