Techs flying style

Tech is without doubt a great pilot - we’ve seen quite a lot of it already (although never enough of it).

In TCW season 7 where we get the Bad Batch introduced we see that the Marauder is coming in hot - several clones have to jump of the side to escape the landing Marauder.

I might be wrong and there is an other explanation for that (maybe he let Crosshair for once on the helm?) but I kind of imagine even Tech sometimes liked to give a little payback to the regs - for example by having them jump to safety upon him landing….  

Wait, didn’t they say something about them being late in season 7? I might be getting the show mixed up with fanfiction. Also, Kaminoans don’t play around so maybe when landing and taking off on Kamino, they are careful not to get on the Kamioans bad sides.

I mean… There is considerably less space in the Kaminoan hangar than on the base on Anaxes. If Tech flew in with more speed than what he used, they would have certainly crashed, no amount of flight skills might have saved them from that.

But I also want to add that at the start of The Bad Batch, the tone of the plot is far more tense than when they made their appearance in The Clone Wars. I like to think that this weight and tension in the air after Order 66 has something to do with Tech’s flying in more “regularly” even though I really do think he doesn’t deem it a good idea to try a stunt like that in such a small landing area.

Not that I don’t think that Crosshair can totally fly a ship as well as enjoy nearly ramming it into the regs out of spite 😅

The hangar was just one of many examples, even if they have space the landing looks similar to the one on Kamino. I guess it wasn’t the best example to use. I have several Marauder landing gifs, I will post them soon too.

I was actually a little joking with regard to Crosshair, we never see him in the pilot chair. But we see Wrecker. Maybe it was him. Tech really is too polite to do something like that just to scare someone - but Wrecker and Crosshair might. I doubt Tech would let them land alone, he is surely still in the pilot chair with maybe Wrecker as co-pilot. So either Tech did the landing alone or he allowed Wrecker to influence it….

Yes they were late but they (especially Tech) could still have landed normally - there is space above, it wasn’t even required to fly so close above the base before landing. This is why I meant it looks intentional.

I think someone e.g. wanted to give them a dramatic entry and it fits their style - taking risks but getting the job done.
