Hi, I'm a big fan of my Flip! I purchased it in early Feb. and have used it almost everyday since (except when I use my that has been purchased since then). It honestly makes drinking water so much more fun - the sippy cup inspired tuck away straw is genius. I love how easy it is to open and close, and then lock mechanism makes me confident that I won't spill. I am confident that I drink at least 2 times the amount of water than I did before buying my Owala, and I bring it with me everywhere I go :)

Just two pieces of constructive feedback to note for future purchases!
1. The color was different than expected based on the website. I ordered the Hint of Grape, which looks like a mid/dark purple online. But when it arrived, it is more of a pink/purple, I describe it a bit as barney colored. I think it works really well with the teal and orange accent, I was just surprised that it was brighter purple than expected.

2. I've noticed the lid scratches pretty easily. First scratch came a week after purchasing it while I was flying cross country and then have had many since then. It doesn't impact the use at all, just noticed that the lid (probably because it is silicone material or something) shows scratches.

But overall, I really love my Owala and have convinced 7 friends to buy them (also bought myself the as mentioned, your bday BOGO was the best!). I'll continue to market them to my network, and get everyone on the Owala train.

At first, I was really impressed with my Flip bottle that I ordered during Owala's promotion. I was in the their "virtual checkout line" to receive the promotional bottle, but somehow their system kicked me off from receiving the promotional bottle, but gave me a bogo deal they were offering instead. When I first got my Flip bottle, it worked great. The straw that flips up was so convenient to use during my workouts, or just at home. However, after washing my bottle thoroughly after 1-2 uses, I noticed, the straw doesn't suck up the water easily like before. It's difficult to get water to flow through easily anymore. I take very pristine care of all my drinkware, and wash everything very thoroughly, so I know that it's not from any damage on my caring for it. Not sure if this is something that has happened to others...but I have barely had my bottle for a month now. The straw that pops up is attached to the underside of the bottle top, but it just doesn't suck up the water normally anymore. I tried to disconnect and reconnect multiple times, there's just something not right with it.. It takes extra effort on my part to drink from it now, and so I'm not favoring this bottle anymore. The bottles are quite expensive, but I thought that if it was made well and lasted it would be worth it, but it's not working like it should, sadly.

I wanted to love this water bottle so badly, but I cant. My first issue is that about half of the time when I open the bottle, water pours out of the top. I am a healthcare worker, and I have had water or juice pour all over my scrubs more times than I can count due to this water bottle!! I contacted customer service, and they explained that this is a pressure issue, and that the "fix" is the untwist and open the bottle prior to opening the top. I run outside and commute to work by foot -- I wanted to keep the bottle on me for hot day and quickly pop open the top for a drink. However, customer service is saying that prior to each sip, I need to untwist the top, let the pressure out, retwist it on, and then open the straw/top. This is incredible inconvenient for what should be a simple water bottle.

Additionally, I dropped the water bottle from my chair (about 2 feet off the ground), and there is now a tiny crack in the bottom. I didnt notice this at first, because the drop was so minor/short, and I thought nothing of it. However, after leaving it on my table for 30 minutes, I came back to find water all over my desk, and discovered the sliver of a crack on the bottom.

I wish I could return this water bottle/get a refund or a replacement.

First of all, I love the larger size of these kids' bottles. All our other water bottles are 12oz., then we go to the beach or on the boat and the kids guzzle it down in an instant. This will greatly reduce the number of times I have to fill up their water bottles. Also, as long as it is closed, it does not appear to leak for us. My 4-year-old brought her "new" bottle into my bed last night, I didn't even realize it until the morning, but because she knew to put the straw down it didn't leak, PHEWWWW. I have a kids' bottle from another brand that was completely tightly closed and it still poured out almost entirely in my bag. So, for me, I am a fan of the Owala over that brand. And like the other reviewer said, when liquids go from cold to warm they expand, that's why milk cups always leak when you add new cold milk to them, too. It just is what it is with water bottles. I haven't even experienced that yet, though.
