worthless warranty
Disappointed· Review provided by Target · October 22, 2024
This product split along the bottom seam after just a year of use, and the split is so sharp it actually cut my child's leg where it brushed up against it. The company claimed this is normal wear and tear and would not uphold its warranty, nor apologize for this dangerous mode of breakdown -- could have been a very serious injury. Customer service response: "While it may be surprising, the bottle's materials react differently under various circumstances. Minor impacts might not result in immediate damage but may weaken materials over time." Our previous water bottle with similar usage lasted 3 years for comparison of the quality.
Best. Bottle. Ever.

We’ve tried every big brand of water bottles and there is a clear winner here. Bought the large bottle for myself. Fell in love and had to buy for my boys! One of the easiest bottles to clean. Keeps ice and drinks cold for hours. Has both options to chug and sip. Has a nice handle that locks so it doesn’t leak! It has a nice button you press to open so that we are never touching the mouth piece just to drink. Check, check and check! ALL THE CHECKS.
[Rewarded Review] Overall good kids water bottle

We got this water bottle a few weeks ago and have sent it to school, taken it on a weekend trip, and used it around the house. The kids like the dynamic open/shut mechanism and it has provided a surprising amount of entertainment for them; never a bad thing with kids. The lock is also good and was critical for peace of mind when throwing it into a backpack before school in the morning. It is workable by our 6 year old with a little effort but our 2 (almost 3) year old could not manage on her own.

Compared to other kids water bottles we have this was easier to clean than most. All pieces are dishwasher safe and the mouth of the bottle is almost the same diameter as the body, so a bottle brush cleaner does well too. However, there was one day where our child brought it home complaining the water tasted weird. There were little particles floating in the water. I have no idea if it was from the product or not, and we've had no problems since, but it's the one thing holding us back from calling it great.

Durability has been great so far, no chips or dents or anything, even with some drops and other rugged use. We're hopeful the open/close mechanism holds up to play as well as normal use, but if so it is a very good kids water bottle.

I just received my Owala bottle yesterday and am already reviewing it! I love open spout water bottles and I love using straws so having two options in one was fascinating to me. One sip from this water bottle and I was just amazed by the genius way it was designed. The opening at the top of the straw is an oval shape which allows for the water to fill your mouth the same way a pour would. The suction is seamless with no air getting into the straw pieces. The pour option is also seamless and you can barely tell that there is a straw option!
I am a huge stickler about bottles being easy to clean and this one has thought of everything for me! The straw piece detaches at the bottom and the sealing parts can be easily removed for cleaning. I love it!
I purchased two bottles, one with the free sip and the other with a twist cap (in case I didn't like the free sip) and now I with I had gotten the free sip for both!
The caps work for same sizes (I have a 32 oz and a 24 oz stainless steel bottle) so I can move caps around to whatever is most convenient.
I also did an ice test and after over 12 hours, I still have ice in my bottle.

I am an engineering design teacher for middle schoolers and I guarantee that this bottle will be used not just for keeping me hydrated but also as a lesson in engineering design!
