The price is great for 24 daily surprise gifts under 2$ each, for LEGO brand is fabulous! much better quality then a dollar store $1.25 gift. Gave a advent calender to a Star Wars fan and he was over-the-moon with excitement! His mother reached out to me yo thank me again for the best gift other; she says her son jumps out of bed every morning niw without his usual fuss and runs to his advent calender to open a new Star Wars pices to build. The Super Heros Advent Calender I gave to my grandson this holiday season and I have gotten the same reaponse back from his father that it is so easy to get my grandson out of bed each morning for school because yhe first thing on his mind is to ipen a new door, to a new day to find his surprise LEGO figure to build! I am going to purchase other theme LEGO Advent Calendars for the long winter months for my grandson to open, since it helps with his morning routine of getting up for school then it is money well spent to give him a daily gift of inspiration and joy to begin his day!
Comes together in the end

Overall this years advent calendar finishes on a relative high. However, the early days can be tough going. I honestly think Lego need to pick a theme and stick to it for the whole calendar. Once this years got into Return of the Jedi theming it was great. Early on it threatened to be a gathering of all sorts. 2024 would be a perfect year to start doing these advent calendars around one film as it’s 25 years since the phantom menace. It’s not the most popular of films but the calendar would be improved by being solely based on one film even if it means another battle droid next year.
Great advent calendar, especially on sale

While I did pick this up on sale for over half off, this would've still been worth it even at a higher price. This was my first Lego advent calendar and it stood out to me due to some great minifigures and some fun looking builds. I'm glad to say they didn't disappoint, especially given the theme of the calendar. The main focus looked to be Christmas on Endor, which makes sense given how Lego Star Wars has been focusing on Return of the Jedi's 40th anniversary all year, but I also appreciated how there were some prequel minifigures/builds so as not to completely forget that era as well. Overall this was just a great advent calendar that I'd recommend to both families and collectors alike!
Recipient liked it!

I bought this for a 4-and-a-half year old, who was well able to assemble the models despite Lego describing the age range as 6+ - though I didn't think the instructions were very easy to follow. The instructions are printed on the back of the calendar doors, so unless you have storage space for the box, have to be kept by cutting off the doors and dealing with 24 separate, very small diagrams. In this price range, Lego could have included, in addition to the doors, a composite instruction sheet to be kept for longer-term use. The box did an adequate job of protecting its contents but the fold-up front lid is fairly thin and tears quite easily, so not ideal to be used as the scene-setter for imaginary play that it seems to claim to be.
