May 20, 2022Little background: this is our 10th year in a row with the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar, one each year since our oldest was born. As last year wrapped up we feared the worst as we would have to add in the youngest of four to the mix this year, reducing all of the kids turns to 6 a piece.Welp, after last years review https://www.Home Deliveries USA.com/gp/customer-reviews/R13E0LP7WBL25G?ref=pf_ov_at_pdctrvw_srp the moment of truth came upon us. We spent months trying to figure out what to do, fearing the fight that may ensue after the kids picked sides. In April I discovered 2 was hoarding nerf bullets while 1 was stocking canned food. 3 had very curious maps of the neighborhood including tunnels I have yet to actually find. s 2 and 3 clearly had an alliance as we had predicted but 1 was keeping 4 at arms reach. After meeting with local leaders and sitting down with HRT we reached the Feces Armistice of 2021 whereby it was agreed that since 4 was not yet potty trained only s 1-3 would participate in the Advent Calendar. In exchange for maintaining their eight turns each of s 1-3 would have to share two desserts over the 24 days. Each was a assigned a share day randomly to avoid further conflict. The kids made it clear that the armistice expired December 26.Im not sure what will happen in 2022. The conditions leading to the Feces Armistice have become null. Each is getting older, stronger, and smarter. I stupidly taught and encouraged them to play Risk so they have begun to learn more complex strategy than nuh-uh or yuh-huh. I fear for my neighborhood and the collateral damage that could ensue, but well try our best to work it out.
Could so easily have been better

December 13, 2021What happened with this calendar, Lego? It was a great idea to base it on one particular theme, and please do this again next year, but the intention wasn’t executed especially well. You say it's based on Series 2 of the Mandalorian but only three or four builds and none of the minifigures are specific to that series, while some of the gifts are based on things from Series 1 or are generic to the Star Wars universe. You've reduced the number of minifigures (compared to previous years and all the other calendars this year) and added more weapons racks despite constant feedback from previous years that no one enjoys the weapons racks. Removing the accessories from the minifigures to take the sting out of the weapon rack days makes things even worse. A few of the microbuilds were very nicely done but others are just recycled from previous designs and some are very low effort. There's hardly any festive design included, despite the promise of the box art, and there are no printed accessories. The snowball fight theme is a nice feature but doesn’t seem to have been given much thought. Obviously the festive Grogu and very mildly festive Mando were enough to sell the set but the rest is only just good enough to stop this feeling like a rip off. Overall it was just about good enough but far too generic. I would trade this small mountain of spare parts that you’ve included for some printed tiles and a minifigure that was actually specific to the show (Frog lady or Mythrol if you want to take me up on that).
Please, people!

September 29, 2021I was wondering why this product only had a 3 1/2 star overall rating so I checked out the reviews. Now I know why.
The less than stellar reviews are written by fully grown adults who buy these ADVENT calendars the minute they are released, tear into them in mid-September (boy, how festive) and then write reviews complaining about the "lack of value" or the "disappointing exclusives." Wow.
I buy these advent calendars every year for my son, and every year we open one a day in December, as Lego intended. We don't care about exclusives, or resale value, or collectability. We just have a great time discovering the next item and adding it to his collection. Isn't that what Lego is supposed to be about? Fun and building and creativity?
Or am I to believe that the executives at Lego are more interested in making sets and advent calendars that cater to whiny adults, who want figures and builds that will fetch a pretty penny on eBay once the set is retired? I don't think that is what Lego has ever been; for us, it's about discovery and fun and the creativity we foster on our own. And we'll never rip into our holiday advent calendars in September because we want to evaluate this year's "exclusives." We will wait until December, open a new build every day, and have some fun with whatever it may be. I think that's what Lego is really about, isn't it?
This is the way…. sort of

December 22, 2021Loved the show, like Star Wars and astronomy. Mum did well to surprise her (50 year old), baby with this advent calendar - my first Lego one!
Not a collector as such, nor looking to sell on for a profit. Have a few larger Lego sets (Saturn V, Apollo Lunar Lander and the ISS).
Enjoyed the days so far for the most part and sort of know what is coming as have seen the pics on the Lego website. Pleased with the extra brick included.
Have to say though, I’m a little disappointed (although I wouldn’t say anything to mum). Can’t see the need for two armour racks and there’s not many weapons to go on it once they have been added to the mini figures. ‘Baby Yoda’ should be included with his cradle, not as a separate day - especially as he is so small. Where were IG-11’s weapons - should have been included with the figure (not taken from the ammo rack to finish him). Feels like the Lego developers lost interest in this set, or marketing decided it was an easy way to bring in the cash…. Could have made so much more of this theme - perhaps use a little more Force next time…
So, happy, whilst a little underwhelmed - not up to your usual standards, Lego….
