These are quite good. I really like the light they produce and the installation was quite painless. A couple things to note: The lights really need to be 5-10cm from the wall to produce the right effect. You can't hang them near the outer edge of your soffit, they need to be quite close to the wall. The unit of measure separating the lights seems to be a metric number. If you are in canada and your soffits have any sort of grooves in them, the grooves are probably based on an imperial measure. This means its difficult to space the lights evenly along the flat part of grooved soffits. The result still looks good in the night, but in the day, you'll have some spans with a droop in the wire and others without, which doesn't look great.

Another issue you may experience is the wifi connection. I installed some on an exterior garage. My phone gets a fine wifi signal at the garage, but the lights do not. And some of the advanced features for the light pattern editing require the lights themselves to have a wifi signal. Having one on the phone isn't enough to use some light patterning tools.

A neighbor purchased a set of these lights after receiving a ridiculous price for permanent led lighting from a few businesses ranging from $7000 to $12000. After viewing the lights myself immediately myself and 4 others in my neighborhood purchased our own sets.

Pros:

Easy installation if measured and planned well. Had to complete some electrical work to install a plug in a particular location although the controller and power pack do have a long cord.
Great light emitted and a nice cone pattern on the house. Installed mine at 2” from the wall on the soffit.

Cons:
If you need two extension cords (one included in a 50’ or 100’ kit) to reach different peaks on your house get the 150 foot kit so I am told (includes two). I managed to make my installation work using a 100’ and 50’ kit. Used only one controller and one extension.

Overall very impressed with the product. Happy to never have to climb on the second storey of my house to put up lights for some time.

Hopefully the app will expand and allow for user patterns to be downloaded or new patterns released but there is a lot of them in the app right now.

I recently installed the 100’ rgbic Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights, and I’m impressed by their vibrant colors and dynamic lighting options. The installation was straightforward. They’re bright and weather-resistant, perfect for any outdoor space.

However, I wish the screw clips for mounting were sturdier; the only reliable options I’ve found are aftermarket clips, not made by Govee. Additionally, more extension would also be beneficial.

Overall, these lights are a great addition, but improvements in mounting hardware and flexibility would make them even better.

When we bought our new home, these lights were going up for sure! They are simply amazing and we have made all the neighbors jealous. Installation is easy for the most part, but challenging in the those hard to reach places. Took a couple days to complete everything, but well worth the extra time. We looked into various permanent options, but the cost for some of the more professional looking lights is just out of our price range. These have been up for half a year now and they have all held up. Also, we have had a -50C cold snap and these handled the cold weather like a champ. Overall, beyond happy with these lights.
