Awesome Pedal
Wildwood· Review provided by scan.co.uk · March 3, 2023
Brilliant pedal. Have tried numerous others in my search for a stereo pedal with looper that will take line level to run my keys through. I've sent my Korg SV2 through with the volume cranked and no sign of clipping at all. Keys sound amazing through this - Tera Echo with the parameter and tone way down and the time / repeats way up; shimmer with parameter down (the manual is wrong here - it says parameter controls the brightness, but it actually brings in a higher octave. Keeping parameter down brings in a choir-like delay in the same pitch, sounds awesome). Lots more I could go on about here. The looper works well too - as long as you figure out the best way (get your delay sound set, switch to looper then record, switch back to play then you can alter the delay sound and play over the loop with a completely different delay (or no delay if you prefer). Anyway - you get the idea - lots you can do with this. I've not even tried it on guitar yet...
The Best new Delay Pedal !!!

This is the Best new delay pedal. I like this delay better than all the other delay pedals, except the Boss DD-500 (The Flagship/King of All) delay pedals. I got this because it's a little smaller than the DD-500, and, it's a little simpler too use. Like, the tap division, and, the parameter controls are external on the DD-200, when those same controls are internal on the DD-500, which makes it a little more user friendly. I also realized that I only saved a few presets on the DD-500, yet, it can save up to 198 presets into memory. That is indeed Great ! (Better to have it ,and, not need it; than to need it ,and, not have it) I agree; But, keeping it simple is very important to me also. I will keep both the DD-500, and, the DD-200, because they both have their own personal advantages over each other. I love the Strymon delays too, but, I love the Boss delay pedals more.
Review of Boss DD-200 Digital Delay Pedal

This delay pedal is perfect for my needs. Stereo in and out. Digital and analog modes. Tap tempo and even more usefully in a DAW recording situation, the ability to set the delay time in BPM to pefectly match the song tempo. It has a wide range of delay divisions including dotted eighth if you need to do that corny U2 delay thing. The quality is crystal clear but also has the ability to be gritty and lo-fi when you need it (I got a perfect retro Scotty Moore slap back echo with the lo-fi setting). Everything is accessible from knobs on the front panel so it's quick to set up with no confusing menu diving needed. It's well constructed and looks great too. All in all, 10 out of 10.
As good as you would expect

Had this for a week and not disappointed with its capabilities and sound. Usual build quality you expect from Boss. All delay types unique and useable. Good for weird soundscapes. Lush, digital sounds and convincing analogue recreations. Expandable with extra switches and more memory settings than you’ll ever need. Only one problem: needs its own power supply as the Boss daisy chain seems to give up with this plugged in. Inconvenient but not a dealbreaker.
