September 4, 2024I like the radio fine. I purchased a Kenwood and everything I needed to install it. When I arrived at my service appointment to have it installed, the guy wasn't thrilled that my appointment was after 4:00 pm and really didn't seem eager to install it. He said he needed more time. I understand, but I used Best Buy's service to find a radio that would fit my vehicle, order everything required for installation, and make the service appointment. I'm really not sure what else I could have done. He said the radio I purchased wasn't going to fit well. I appreciate that he told me it wouldn't fit and look good before installation. I had to purchase another radio. Of course, the only one in stock that would fit was over $400,00 more. Had I known that I would have so much money in this from the beginning, I would have never even started this project. I was told by the guy who helped me purchase the original radio that I could use my backup camera with the new radio, and the installers would plug it in. This was wrong. I had to purchase another camera, and installation is $150.00. The service people told me never to use Best Buy's online help when purchasing. This has been a costly lesson, but a lesson learned.

March 30, 2024This install was on a 2014 Nissan Sentra. This JVC radio is a significant upgrade to the stock model. Had to get a maestro module and program it to keep and use all the car functions and steering wheel control. That was the challenging part as I had never done this before. But, I followed the introductions and purchased all the required connectors to make it a plug and play installation. There was a bit of a gap on each side so I had to crudely cover them, however, I will eventually buy the required face plate which should cover it and make it perfect. The radio itself sounds awesome and clear and the android auto is awesome with full map display. It is a bit expensive to buy all these axtra parts needed but it's well worth it and fun to do.

August 23, 2024All is good except touch screen sucks. Ive never had issues with the touch screen on other double dins. It sounds great and the features are great. I tried calibration and it didnt do much. You have to push multiple times most times to type each letter. And have to go super slow. The left side of the keyboard on the screen is the worst. Sometimes itll think youre touching a when trying to press s. Sometimes the a works when you push a few times so i dont think its the calibration. Other than that it works great.

September 20, 2024I hate it. The install tech got Bluetooth working after purchase. It worked for one day. 2 months and a few fruitless calls to customer service later, I never use it because no Bluetooth. Android phone. We have about a million Bluetooth devices and connecting is never a problem. Not so with this brick. Also, none of the buttons make any sense. Totally counterintuitive. Good luck making any adjustments while you're driving. It's just a non functional thing in the dash with fancy icons that make no sense. Good luck.
