St. James of London? Hmmmmm, I am no really sure how I feel about the this saving cream yet. I have shaved with it twice now and found that on both shaves that the foam starts to break down by the third pass and you can start to feel that there is no buffer between your skin and the blade (on the second use I changed out the blade for a new one thinking that the blade may have been dull) . I will admit that I am not a great foam maker but I can usually get a pretty stable foam with lot of moisture lubrication and shin to it and it would last my usual four passes (with little remixing). St James of London did not even make it to three. I purchased the tube version of this product and found it not very pleasing to the eye. When squeezing in to my mug it appear to be like a squeezable version of a shave soap and not a cream. It had a matte shine to it and not much body to it. Even at this stage I had my misgiving. While mixing my brush did not appear to glide but drag around my mug, an you really had to give it the gear and a little extra moisture to get started, but yet never forming to a high quality foam that you would expect. I was hoping for a good experience with ST. James of London because they have a match aftershave to go with the shaving creams. I enjoy the lavender scent for my evening shaving before bed.
I did find the scent of Lavender and geranium very enjoyable and long lasting though, and that scent is why I gave it a 3 star rating and not a 2 star.

St James came up with a really nice line of quality products with well-conceived natural and delightful fragrances. All a pleasure to use.

To the previous reviewer, I think I see where he is coming from. I find adding a few extra drops of hot water makes the lather thicker and creamier and more stable, as is usually the case with most creams and soaps.

Wouldn't use anything else. Superb shaving cream and a tiny drop is all you need per shave. 10/10.

Great stuff for the skin, and the scent is mild and lovely.
