This little device takes a little getting used to. You have to make sure your arm is positioned a certain way until the device will begin taking a measurement. Having the device measure BP from the wrist is a huge convenience when self administering. Only drawback is the mechanical voice - it's so loud! And there's no way to turn down the volume. So forget about taking "secret" readings LOL!

My sister hates taking her blood pressure because doctor's office never have the bigger cuff to take her blood pressure and always leaves the office with arm pain...... UNTIL I got her the Health Smart Premium Wrist Digital Blood Pressure Monitor. Takes good and accurate readings. I have the manual blood pressure and stethoscope would check her blood pressure and compare it to the wrist monitor 5 out of 5 meaning the readings matched. My sister now takes the monitor with her at all her Drs appointments.

I can't say whether or not this monitor works because I couldn't get that far. Setting it up is way too complicated, the thing is like a computer. If you make a mistake when setting it up, which I did, there's no way to fix the mistake before moving on to the next step in the instructions in the owner's manual. I'm going to return it to Walmart. Oh, and another thing --- the description states that this monitor requires two AA batteries, not included. Wrong! It requires two AAA batteries and they are included. So, if you're going to order this monitor, don't order a pack of AA batteries for it.

It does exactly what you want without a fuss or extra steps. Just put it on your wrist, hold it level to your chest, and wait for it to begin. I did not know it had a speaker and audibly told you what your numbers are. Overall a great buy.
