I bought this and decided to install it myself to save some money. I am fairly knowledgeable in electronics but I hadn't done any in quite some time. I had some difficulty at first getting the unit to even come on but, after some research and a bit of patience, we were able to get it to work. Turned out the unit has to be grounded direct to the chassis and not to a negative wire. I also thought that by installing a new stereo, I would get better reception then the original one that came with the vehicle. That turned out to be false. The issue was not the stereo itself but the hidden antenna that was in the windshield. I first tried a new hidden antenna with little success. After some additional research and speaking with an actual experienced installer at an automotive stereo shop, we were successful. He told me that the best antenna is an actual solid external one. So I went ahead and bought a solid approximate 3 foot standard metal antenna and "drilled" a one inch hole in my fender and ran the new antenna cable to this new Pioneer unit and, "Voila" so many channels and so much clearer then the old ones. Success after all. Very happy with the quality and the features of this unit.

Trust me! Do not buy this product mine only lasted for 6 months and then i got the blank screen. I spent another 50$ to send this fpr repair and after the repair the issue waa still not resolved. I just spent another 50% to send it back for repair.
3 months so far and im not able to use it. Very bad product and very bad service.

Bought two week ago, had trouble installing because my fuse was gone, but once we figured that out, it turned right on. Easy to install, comes with everything you need. If you existing stereo doesn’t turn on, there’s a good chance your fuse needs to be replaced for a few extra buck. It does what it should, sounds clean easy to maneuver. Excellent product for the price paid.

Pretty basic. Quick to boot up. Sound quality is ok. Dvd plays clearly. The back of the unit is kinda wierd they could have made the design a whole lot better. Like the avh 210ex. The output labled subwoofer doesnt control my amp but the rear output does. But that could be for a different type of setup. I wish there were more options as far as screen background goes but it is what it is. I find that i have to push a bit hard on the screen to make a selection. Also the instructions are not very clear at all. Instead of a wiring diagram , which pioneer used to provide they just say that red is 12v, black is chassis ground etc. Over all its ok.
