Brilliant Value

This thermometer is amazing value and incredibly accurate for the money. I bought it mainly to measure caravan LPG gas levels by detecting the temperature difference between the gas and the lower temp of the liquid. However there are so many uses for it, example looking for binding car brakes by checking temperature of brake discs. Checking solid fuel stove working temperatures, this tool read exactly the same temp as an expensive thermometer strapped to the chimney. My tests have proved that this device is very accurate as long as you are no further away from the object than 60 cm and don't expect accurate readings on shiny surfaces or through glass. All in all a cracking tool, fast results at a very good price.
Inaccurate temparture reading

Was waiting for this temperature gun to use as a backup for another gun from a different company. I use the temperature guns to check my aquarium water temps. The gun showed temperatures 4 to 6 degrees lower than correct temperature. This could potentially prove fatal to my fish. I somtimes maintain my tanks at 88 degrees for various reasons. With this gun I the actual temp could exceed 95 degrees which would be fatal to.my live stock and plants.
Handy Tool

Meter is fairly accurate and reads 32F when pointed at ice water. When using in Frig/Freezer, best to point it at a dense container since it maintains temp when frig doors are opened. Thin frigerator panels change temperature with the inrush of warm air. Fun to measure temp of inside house walls starting from base board to skylights and see the 30 degree F rise in the summer time. Nice tool but havent used for hot measurements yet (e.g. oven or car engine).
Exhaust cylinder thermal check

Works perfectly. I used it so I could tell which cylinder had a misfire by pointing at the exhaust manifold . Saved me a lot of time to diagnose the problem on my truck
