Splatoon 2 global testfire times

Here’s when you can try the game

The Splatoon 2 demo has been available on the Nintendo Switch’s eShop for quite a while now in North America, although you can’t do anything with the files once they’re downloaded. But the game’s open beta is about to begin, with play limited to a few hours per day across Friday and the weekend.

In other words, you’re going to need to put the times on your calendar if you want to check out the game. The times are below:

  • March 24: 12-12:59 p.m. PT
  • March 24: 8-8:59 p.m. PT
  • March 25: 4-4:59 a.m. PT
  • March 25: 12-12:59 p.m. PT
  • March 25: 8-8:59 p.m. PT
  • March 26: 4-4:59 a.m. PT

That’s only six hours of playtime available in total, spread across three days, so make sure you don’t have anything else planned for those short, precious hours. This will also be one of the first times Switch owners will be able to play a Switch game online, so don’t be scared to travel someplace with good WiFi outside of your home to really take advantage of the portable squid and/or kid action.

Splatoon 2 will be released on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
