TikTok suicide video warning: Ronnie McNutt shoots himself live on app
SCOTS have been warning other parents to keep their kids off TikTok after a disturbing video of a man shooting himself did the rounds.
Distressing footage of Ronnie McNutt's suicide has gone viral on social media after the 33-year-old killed himself at home.
Mr McNutt, a former Army veteran who served in Iraq, died in Mississippi on August 31.
The gruesome video originally appeared on the site on Sunday and despite being deleted it's understood people keep putting it back up - with social media sites still scrambling to remove clips of the incident.
Bosses at TikTok are banning anyone who re-uploads it.
The clip is said to appear on the 'For You' page, and has no age verification before it can be viewed.
It has been widely shared, and two Scots mums who came across it are urging others to keep their little ones off the site.

Louise Moffat said: "Warning to all the mummys with kids on tik tok. And adults.
"I just went on and on my 'for you' page I started watching a guy just sitting at a computer desk.
"Within seconds of the video he had committed suicide on the live video which seems to now be getting shared so much and every second video is that.
"Really wouldnt want anyone else watching this."
Karen Campbell added: "If your child or yourself use tiktok to watch videos please take their device away from them for 72 hours. Come off tiktok yourself too.
"There is a video going around you literally only need to open tiktok to see it, of a man live streaming his suicide. Someone has took the video is now sharing this over Tiktok with the link attached so you can physically watch it, you do not need to verify your age before you watch it.

"Tiktok are apparently aware of the situation. The man has long hair and beard with glasses if you see the image come off!"
A TikTok spokesperson said: "On Sunday night, clips of a suicide that had been livestreamed on Facebook circulated on other platforms, including TikTok.
"Our systems have been automatically detecting and flagging these clips for violating our policies against content that displays, praises, glorifies, or promotes suicide.
