Some viewers took to Twitter to air their frustration, with one writing: “There's a different arrangement to the #SilentWitness theme tune! I can't sing my made-up words to it any more!”

“How dare they b****y change the singer on the Silent Witness theme tune and why they tryna change it up for?” (sic) added another.

Also, Sally Vaughan (Emma Fielding) a friend of Dr Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) had vanished prompting the team to look into what had happened to her.
