Brian May says he still feels Freddie Mercury's presence

Over thirty years ago the Queen frontman rocked the world at Live Aid and now the iconic set has been recreated for a new biopic.

The picture teased the upcoming scene in the movie, with the star wearing the famous white vest and blue jeans known from the charity rock concert.

Now footage of Malek recreating Live Aid for the Bohemian Rhapsody movie has been released, sat side by side with the actual set from 1985.

The attention to detail is very notable as Malek makes all the same hand gestures to the audience, before taking his seat at a piano for a rendition of the famous song the movie is named after.

Meanwhile another snap has surfaced of the actor as Freddie, on the same stage with Queen guitarist Brian May looking on wearing a huge grin on his face.

It looks clear that the musician is very approving of Malek’s incarnation.

Joing Malek in the movie are Gwilym Lee as Brian May, Joe Mazzello as John Deacon and former EastEnders favourite Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor – who were also seen in the footage.

Originally the part of Freddie was set for Sacha Baron Cohen, although the Borat star pulled out of the movie after creative differences.
