The new season has only just kicked off but forward planning is always important in football.
That's no different at Coventry City where Mark Robins is working through his third season in charge having led the club to promotion in May.
Who could the Sky Blues tie down to new deals in the coming months? And who is likely to leave at the end of the season?
We take a look here as to how the contracts are looking in the squad.
One year left (June 2019)
Michael Doyle, Lee Burge, Liam O'Brien, Jack Grimmer, Jordan Willis, Tom Davies, Liam Kelly, Tony Andreu, Stuart Beavon, Corey Addai.
Captain Michael Doyle signed an initial one-year deal when he re-joined the club from League Two champions Portsmouth last May and triggered a year option to take him to summer 2019.
The 37-year-old Irishman is settled back in the Midlands, had a superb season and gets on well with manager Mark Robins.
Fans will be looking forward to seeing what French play-maker Andreu can do during his second season after his first came crashing to an end before it had barely begun due to a season-ending cruciate knee injury.

Luke Thomas, Dujon Sterling
Luke Thomas, who joined from Derby County, is due to be with Robins' side until January while Chelsea's Sterling was signed for the season.
Two years left (June 2020)
Zain Westbrooke, Junior Brown, Reise Allassani, Jodi Jones, Jordan Shipley, Callum Maycock, Reece Ford, Kyle Finn, Jonson Clarke-Harris, Jordy Hiwula, Dominic Hyam, Brandon Mason, Morgan Williams, Bouwe Bosma, Dexter Walters
This takes care of the bulk of Mark Robins' squad.
Coventry tend to hand out two year deals, so new signings Zain Westbrooke (with a further year option for the club), Reise Allassani and Junior Brown are tied down until June 2020.
As are Jonson Clarke-Harris, Jordy Hiwula, Brandon Mason, Morgan Williams, Bouwe Bosma and Dexter Walters.
The star of the early 2017-18 campaign, Jodi Jones, signed a four year deal when he switched from Dagenham and Redbridge in May 2016 - hailed at the time as "the most valuable signing in years" by then technical director Mark Venus.
Midfielders Maycock and Shipley both signed two-and-a-half year extensions last year (December and January respectively).

Development centre-back Reece Ford and young forward Kyle Finn also have deals for another year but with one-year options in the club's favour that effectively take them to 2020, assuming they keep progressing.
Three years left (June 2021)
Max Biamou Chris Camwell, Jordon Thompson, Jak Hickman, Sam McCallum
Forward Biamou signed a new contract this summer having made 49 appearances last season.
Meanwhile, the four youngsters are all in City's Academy.
Left-back Camwell was being monitored by Premier League Stoke City last summer but committed himself to a four year deal with the Sky Blues.
Fellow development squad members Thompson and Hickman both signed new two year deals in March with one year options in the club's favour, effectively taking them to 2021.
McCallum joined in the summer having impressed at Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy.

Four years left (June 2022)
Tom Bayliss, Jordan Ponticelli, Conor Chaplin
Tom Bayliss told supporters at the early summer kit launch that he intended to stay with the Sky Blues and the popular talent has stayed true to his word, signing a deal that's due to run until June 30, 2022.
Still only 19, Jordan Ponticelli signed a new four year deal last September to take him to 2021, again with a one year option in the club's favour to take it effectively to 2022 if the club wishes to do so.
Conor Chaplin has initially joined on loan before the move is made permanent in January.
CoventryLive understands City paid Portsmouth a fee of £500,000.
The striker joined on a three-and-a-half-year deal which will begin after the initial loan has been completed.
