THE HOTEL

Nestled along 5km of pristine Mexican Pacific Ocean coastline, Cuixmala is situated on a 30,000 acre nature reserve. The private estate, founded by Sir James Goldsmith, is now open as a destination for discerning travellers. The landscape ranges from lush jungle, coconut palm groves and lagoons to sweeping savannah and grass lands. Integrated respectfully into these environments are three distinct types of accommodation offering luxury and privacy, for a total of 40 rooms.

A sprawling organic and biodynamic farm provides almost everything that is served on the estate. In conjunction with Cuixmala’s sister property, the Hacienda de San Antonio, the majority of produce, products and ointments are organically created in house. Guests staying at any of the accommodation can dine at the charming Casa Gomez, elegant Casa Cuixmala and casual Caleta Blanca Private Beach & Restaurant. Furthermore, special picnic lunches are served upon request at their wild Escondida Beach and a lovely shaded set-up at the heart of the biodynamic farm. The menus offer authentic farm-to-fork seasonal dishes combining Mexican and international flavors. Also available daily are delicious vegan, vegetarian, and authentic Mexican food options.

Cuixmala has 3 stunning beaches to explore and enjoy. Over 3km long, Playa Cuixmala is powerful and breathtaking. The beach is the perfect place to appreciate an early morning walk, and take in a spectacular sunset. Due to strong currents swimming is not permitted here. Caleta Blanca is The most tranquil beach offering a full service beach restaurant and bar. It is ideal for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding and boat excursions depart from here. Playa Escondida- the more rugged nature of this beach is suited for those who want to swim with waves (with caution) and is ideal for picnics and spending time surrounded by wild nature.

Cuixmala has a spacious yoga studio made by the property’s own bamboo workshop (there are 60 different species of sustainable bamboo grown at Cuixmala). The facility, enjoying stunning views over the property and ocean, offers private yoga and meditation classes by our in-house yoga teacher.

The studio can also be used for fitness sessions when not booked for yoga classes. Fitness equipment and personal trainers for various types of physical fitness sessions can be arranged upon request. Massages, manicures, pedicures, and beauty treatments are available upon request in the privacy of your room. Massages are also available in our massage palapa at Playa Caleta Blanca.
