    Hello, any chance we could get the banana pattern that is used on these resources as an option for create? I want to create some lettering with banana images inside but there is no option when you search banana into the pattern. This banana pattern is perfect!

    How can I use this banana muffin recipe with my class?

    Print your own recipe cards and make banana muffins with this lovely resource! You can use this to support children’s understanding of measuring, weighing ingredients, and reading a scale. This way, you'll be able to help with Maths learning whilst jumping into the fun and delicious world of cake!

    Once you print your own recipe cards, you'll also be able to teach children key skills for the kitchen. These could vary from sifting flour to melting butter and of course, mixing it all together! Children will love seeing how just a few simple ingredients can bind together to make something so delicious. It's like magic! Plus, your classroom or home will smell fantastic when the muffins come out of the oven.

    This resource comes with five steps, to help make learning the recipe a little easier! A great way to get your child understanding how recipes work and also what order is best when creating them. 

     

     

    What's the format of this resource for children?

    The banana muffins recipe has simple, clear instructions which are easy to follow. Don’t throw away the mushy brown bananas – use them in this delicious banana muffin recipe. They're perfect for breakfast, or a sweet afternoon snack!

    This resource is perfect to use in a small group or for children to do in pairs. They can learn from each other and enjoy the sweet reward afterwards of tasting what they've made.

    Each step of the recipe also comes with a colourful illustration that's been hand-drawn by our graphic designers. Whilst looking fantastic, children will also find the recipe incredibly easy to follow.

    • 250g self-raising flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda Pinch of salt
    • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
    • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
    • 115g caster sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 large, ripe bananas
    • 2 medium eggs
    • 125ml milk
