This resort is beautiful! The food and drinks are delicious (at all 4 restaurants). The rooms are very private and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and they speak both English and French.

For those of you reading this from the US, my only complaints about this resort are minor: food and beverages are quite pricey ($6.50 for a 1L bottle of water, and they will not offer tap water), and the water temperature and pressure is variable compared to what we are used to.

The resort offers free use of kayaks, snorkels, and SUPs. The lagoon is calm and good for safely doing water activities. There are two infinity pools next to the beach as well.

Overall, my stay was lovely and I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Moorea!

Loved our stay! Highly recommend for couples of all ages and family friendly! The private Catamaran tour was Amazing as was snorkel and picnic. Surprise we swam with dolphins right there onsite as they have a Dolphinarium! Reasonably priced $$ too for the experience! Will recommend to many when they want to go to Tahiti! Food was excellent. Wine was affordable but liquor drinks were high priced$$, but don’t fret you can pick up a bottle if desired at store across street!

Resort was great. Over water bungalow had great access to snorkeling and plenty of sea life. Food and service is top notch. Will definitely return.

This resort was great for my wife and myself. Our bungalow faced the dolphin center and we were in close proximity to the sea turtle habitat.

The resort had so much to offer that we almost had no reason to leave between going to the spa, eating excellent food, using the free amenities such as kayak and snorkeling gear and of course relaxing by the pool and the beach.

When we wanted to book an excursion, the staff did a great job at helping us find something as well as kept us informed with schedule changes and whether cancellations due to rain.

We loved it here!

Well deserved 4 star rating. There is a small room for improvement, and like many other hotels on Tahiti, this one is on need of remodeling. Examples for this need are numerous and there is no need to go in detail. Service is of truly 5 star hotel. Staff will leave no stone unturned to find away to assist you. Modernization of the entire property will leave the hotel without competition. Location of the hotel is good as well.

Beautiful resort on Tahiti's neighbouring island of Mo'orea. Has a more "tropical island" feel than it's sister resort on Tahiti. Snorkelling equipment is included as is 1 hour kayaking per day. Be sure to get the concierge to organise a boat to coco beach for lunch and snorkelling. Its open from 10. Last boat is 3pm back. Local shop called Magasin Tiahura can supply less expensive drinks and snacks to enjoy in your bungalow.

Beautiful resort, delicious restaurants, pools with great vistas, top notch spas. On the downside the bungalow rooms let geckos into them, if hearing them crawling around on the ceiling is going to bother you get a standard room.

Gorgeous place. I love having the bungalow next to snorkelling worthy sea. The water is so clear! And it’s nice sharing the resort grounds with dolphins and turtles. Food is just average though.

Swimming with dolphins? You can do it here in Moorea at the hotel. Aside from staying in the wonderful over water bungalows. Free WiFi!

The staff does a good job balancing the diverse range of clientele from different countries. The expansive grounds are beautiful, more enjoyable than ptoperty in Tahiti. My partner and I were visiting for an adventure trip while many USA couples looked to be on honeymoon. Many islanders traveling a short distance brought children.

Very high scale place and way too big to call it a vacation resort. The people that wirk there aren't that friendly. They do have the best activities to take advantage of especially the dolphin .ca her and turtle aquarium.

A really great resort. We were lucky as it is down season in January so not a lot of people around. We booked the Premium Over water bungalow and loved it. However the water off our deck was on the shallow side and was really low during low tides...We did use the Avis on site to rent a car which costed more than at the pier but convenience was the reason. Daily free kayaks for an 1 he was fun.

Very nice 4 star property with great lagoon. Has turtles and dolphins. Cleanliness above average but had ant and smell problems in bungalow. Service however is extremely slow. Much slower than even island time. 2 stars for poor service. Must be very patient if you decide to stay here. Overall 3 star property.

The food is actually kind of garbage here, for how much you pay. Intercontinental should invest more into staff training and food than stupid pearl shops that are never open. I'm sure the workers and staff put over 100% into their work but they can't be faulted for lack of leadership or ingredients.

Nice beach, good food, friendly staff and atmosphere. The concierge will help you with arranging all the tours, however it will be a bit more expensive. The resort is far from the port and city centre so if you want to go anywhere you'll need a car.
Avis is also on the premises so you can rent a car.

Stayed in a fully overwater bungalow. Was able to snorkel right off the porch and see fish, sharks, and turtles. Restaurants are pricey and drinks are expensive but there are other decent restaurants around that you can venture to.

Great hotel. Free Kaiaks and stand up paddle for 1 hour.
Crossing the road you can have lunch and dinner at the Holy steakhouse. Or buy stuff on the grocery store.
Everything is too expensive, from drinks to meals in the hotel.

It was a great time....a big thank you to Vincent, Cedric, Amelie and all the others of the staff. If you needed anything from the reception, from the service or the kitchen department all the people were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our son (12 years old) has various allergies, but everybody in the hotel was informed about this situation immediately and so he got everytime the right special food he needed. We often stay in hotels but this was really one of the best experiences we made. And by the way the resort is very nice, the overwater bungalows are well equipped and the whole island is worth more than one journey. Hey to everyone of the Moorea intercontinental staff: thank you very much for our fantastic holidays, you did a great job.

The decision to come here, took awhile to plan and sacrifices were made, but it was worth it, this is only day two, i woke up at 0430 waited to see the sunrise walked over to see the dolphins, they came up and wasted no time giving me a hello back, then i went for breakfast, which was phenomenal every thing was awesome, the omelette i had was spot on, today is day 2. Life is for living not just existing... Go live.

We stayed at the over wAter bungalow at the intercontinental. We had such an amazing time at the resort, it was blissful to wake up to the blue ocean view everyday. Wish I didn't have to leave. The resort staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall the resort had all the amenities we were looking for, would definitely recommend for anyone going to Mo'orea.

One of the best resorts on the island of Moorea. Service is quite friendly and helpful, and the accommodations are some of the best on the island. Would recommend ahead of the Hilton and Sofitel, if you were choosing.

It's hard for me to give this place 3 stars since it does have great views and the food is amazing. But they nickel and dime you for everything, they even have a $14 charge per day to just fold the sheets (they didn't even replace it ). And be prepared to pay tons of miscellaneous taxes and fees when you get your receipt.

Beautiful, clean hut on the canal. Friendly sharks can be seen in the early morning. The front desk is extremely helpful to any issue you may have. The staff will do anything, I saw a staff member named Rodger go out of his way to repair an elderly mans cane yesterday and then refused a tip. I very much enjoyed Moorea Island.

Loved our 4 night stay here. We stayed at a premium overwater bungalow with views of the open sea. It's so beautiful and calm in the morning at sunrise. Ask for a bungalow near the dolphin center to watch the dolphins! There's also a small grocery store opposite the hotel to grab some snacks or beer. Take some bread from the morning buffet to feed the fishes!

We love this resort! We are right next to the dolphins and can see the turtle rehabilitation lagoon! The over water bungalow is amazing and this is true paradise! Of course the food and drinks cost a pretty penny but this resort is worth it! And my husband and i totally reccomend renting a car for the day and driving around the island!

Just a nice hotel. We arrived at 9am, couldn't get our room any earlier than 2pm. There was a morning breakfast buffet in progress but they never offered it to any of the new arrivals. They do give you access to a changing room but you have to open your suit case at the front entrance in order to get your bathing suit and cover. They did manage to give you a towel voucher. Junior suites are great over water. Rooms are nice. NO draw space for clothes. Minimal hanger space, enough for one person for, maybe, 2 nights. Neither fans worked in the room. Maintenance replaced one fan to work but had to keep it on low because it would constantly knock on medium or high. The bedroom fan would work only on low. We are big time coffee drinkers. We had to call multiple times to get 4 little packs of instant coffee. PS. They seem to inventory everything, almost making one feeling like a thief. For the price, just an okay. View and water, FABULOUS.

Some people that work here are great while others wish you would just leave them alone. Bathroom smells like public restroom after flushing. Some days they gave us 2 towels other days we would get 2. Unconsistent room service in general.

Could be nice - if you got the right bungalow, and no construction site next to your room....
We were on our honeymoon, spend already some time on Bora Bora in the beautiful black pearl beach resort, and then in Fakarava, at the awesome havaiki lodge. So we wanted to spend the last 7 nights also in a real nice luxury and comfort, so we booked the beach premium bungalow at the Intercontinental in Moorea.

We arrived around 7 pm, and got bungalow 307. Well, that was a huge disappointment. Besides the fact you have no sea view, only a lagoon view at the water Bungalows across the lagoon, the bungalow was a few meters away from the beach with almost no sunlight. There are other beach standard or garden bungalows like 309 or 312 which have a better view and location. Since also other things were wrong like a broken table, dirty pillow, a bunch of black hair in the sheets, or the shabby bathroom mirror (see the pics) - all things you wouldn't expect from a 4 Star Hotel - we asked for a new room at the same night. There was no Beach premium available at the night, they asked us to stay for one night in the 307, which was not big deal since our suitcases were still packed. So next day we got the 314 at 2 pm, which is what you would expect when you pay the upgrade - nice View, some privacy, and everything clean and nice.

Our happiness lastet 2 nights, then they starting hammering at the Bungalow next door in the afternoon. We thought it might be over soon, since only one guy was working there, but we were wrong. Next morning they started again - at 8 am! So we complained at the next day at the reception around 8.30, and here they messed it up. They told us that they will stop working immediately, but they didn't. At noon they explained us we have to live with it the rest of our stay (we could be lucky at least one day is bank holiday...), since it is an emergency fix - but why there is only one guy working on it? Have 5 guys and the noise would be over in half a day!

Or we could move the next day to Bungalow 319, which basically got the same location problems like 307, even worse since there no privacy at all as it is directly at the main beach. As packing everything together again, loosing another day with noise and waiting for a new bungalow (you are at least 3h without bungalow if you change...) and leaving for a worse bungalow was no option for us, we got other compensation.

Fact is that they shouldn't offer 306, 307, 318, 319 as beach premium, although 318 & 319 could be nice for couple whith kids since you are close at the main beach, and 307 & 306 habe access to the lagoon beach. The front row beach premiums have no really direct beach access since there is a stonewall.

Oh and there is the funny security option: as the french windows don't really lock, you have to put a wood lath in order to block it, see the picture.

Besides that
- water bungalows are not really over water, only the terrace except four at the top end
- the spa is very expensive
- they hold dolphins in captivity
renting a bike for 2h costs you 10€
- too less beach loungers for too many people
- need flip flops due to coral debris at the beach - on the other hand, snorkelling is good due to corals....

Good things are:
- the service staff is nice - like everywhere we have been in French Polynesia
- good location since you can see the sunset
- breakfast is good
- pool is clean
- a lot of activities possible
- 1h per day kayaking or stand up paddeling is free,
- Avis car rental in House
- one bottle of water free per day
- snorkeling is good
- beautiful buildings and surroundings
- management is helpful

Upscale resort Inter-Continental did not disappoint even if wheather was uneven during our stay. We renter a junoor bungalow overwater and we were not disappointed. What a nice feeling to wake up and jjump straight into the lagoon from your unit. Our unit #507 was located right by a tiny reef teaming with fishes of all colours and shape. I even swam along a black tip reef shark (thankfully not dangerous to humans). The hotel staff is always welcoming and the concierge is really helpful with the planning of your stay to make it even more enjoyable. Our plan included breakfast which is highly recommended considering the ludicrous price of $37pp. We attended a dinner with a Polynesian dance show foe the price of $94pp. We had delicious barbecued meat of all sorts. We also had dinner at restaurants outside the resort. Two that we highly recommend are Holy Steakhouse at 5 minutes walking distance and CocoD'isle. The owner of CocoD'isle will pick you up. I suggest you ask them concierge for help with reservations.

Stayed here 4 days on our honeymoon. People weren't the friendliest but the shows were great and this hotel has plenty to keep you busy. We went snorkeling, kayaking, hiking rented a scooter drove around the entire island. The fish are and views are beautiful. Met people from all around the globe. They had scuba diving, fishing water sports. We visited a nearby village for dinner it was nice but the food was not what we expected. Loved our trip. Look forward to taking our kids back someday

Beautiful hotel, beautiful bungalows. We had one standing on the corral reef and, even with our son traveling with us, it was spacious. Stunning view, great snorkeling from the bungalow, great swimming pool, and so on. Two bad things: the price if the dolphin's activities is just ridiculous (150 to 600 euros, please....) and the price if the restaurant in relation to the quality (top prices, OK quality) specially when 2min drive away, there is an excellent restaurant with half priced and higher quality (can't remember the name but you can't miss it as it is the only lit building after the resort in the evening when you go west from the resort)
