Harley Quinn hands-down wins Halloween costume of 2016. Maybe it's because the character in Suicide Squad is played by the amazing Margot Robbie. Maybe it’s because her mismatched eyeshadows and those colorful pigtails are a beauty dream. Whatever it is that gets you stoked about transforming into the villainous DC badass this October 31st, peep these videos first for some helpful tips and tricks on how DIY her vibe. Introducing how to bring Harley to life without looking like everyone else:

Pop Art Harley by Jordan Hanz

If you want to look like you just stepped out of a comic book, this is the tutorial to try. Jordan Hanz is clearly a makeup wizard — but since the overall feel here is grungy and imperfect, it’s cool if your lines aren’t as precise as hers. Bonus: her intro will help you get in character and she has a great how-to for creating Harley’s bat!

Super Glam Harley by NikkieTutorials

Nikkie explains in her intro that she wanted this look to feel like Harley just did a bunch of makeup research on YouTube and was about to doll up for a night out. Well, mission accomplished because Nikkie looks so freaking flawless here that we’d maybe even contemplate wearing this kooky, colorful look IRL (AKA, not on Halloween). If you want to channel HQ and look like a makeup goddess, this is the vid for you.

OG Harley Quinn by Madeeyewlook

Before Harley was a Suicide Squad-er, she wore black and red everything on the pages of the DC Batman comics. If you want to channel the villainess' throwback style, check out Madeeyewlook’s version here. Even if it’s not the look for you, her quirky vibes will leave you smiling and feeling extra pumped about all the costume parties and candy ahead.

Candy Challenge with Wengie

Speaking of candy, this next vid is so much fun, but maybe better not to try at home because a) your skin will hate you and b) candy is too delish to waste on makeup challenges. Here, Wengie actually creates the full Harley face using ONLY candy. Seriously. You kind of have to see it to believe it. And if you dare to test out this super sweet technique, you’ll probably also need to watch her tutorial on removing candy “makeup.”

Dollar Store Harley with Nicole Skyes

Another cool Harley twist worth checking out: Nicole Skyes’ dollar-store challenge. Nicole snagged under $10 worth of makeup and then used only the cheap stuff to paint on Daddy’s Little Monster’s signature face. Her end result isn’t as elaborate as some of the pros featured here, but we love how she stretched out her small budget and still pulled off a pretty convincing HQ.
