This was such a beautiful piece of work to complete with my students! We traced the image on to laminating sheets and used tissue paper to create the colour within the koru. Once laminated they were able to add drawings on top to represent themselves. Loved it, thank you!

Description
The koru is a popular symbol in New Zealand. Here is a set of 4 different templates that can be used in a variety of ways …. you decide!
The 4 Templates:
♦ Plain (koru only)
♦ Radiating lines behind koru
♦ Patchwork lines behind koru
♦ Radiating lines with patterns behind koru
*** Refer to the images to see examples of all 4.
Ideas:
♦ Draw patterns in the background spaces.
♦ Write words in the background spaces (eg ‘all about me’).
♦ Colour using warm/cool colours.
♦ Colour using blending/shading.
