It’s fair to say Michael Douglas’ last wife doesn’t care for his current one.

Diandra Douglas recently ripped Catherine Zeta-Jones to Britain’s Daily Mail, accusing her of selling her private life, among other things.

The fun started when the publication asked Douglas — who was at her home she still co-owns with her ex-husband in Majorca, Spain — about rumors that Zeta-Jones was going to take over her share in the house.

“It’s not true. Sometimes people say things without the slightest proof,” she said. “Why would someone who doesn’t speak Spanish or the local Majorcan language or knows nothing about this culture want a house here? She doesn’t even come here much.”

Yeah, but she spoke English with an awesomely hot Spanish accent in those Zorro movies.

When asked why she was “less visible” in the area of the Spanish resort than the Hollywood actors now, the 56-year-old said “That’s because I don’t believe in showing off.”

Of course not. Anyone who marries into a famous Hollywood family is certainly modest and withdrawn.

“I’ve never sold photos or kept money from anything and I’ve always given everything away to charity,” she said, referring to her ex and Zeta-Jones selling pictures of their 2000 wedding to magazines. “I’m proud to be able to say that I’ve never turned my private life into show business. Too much public exposure affects children.”

The former couple have a son, 35-year-old Cameron Douglas, who in 2010 was sentenced to nine-and-a-half years in prison for selling methamphetamine and heroin possession. His sentence was lengthened after he repeatedly got his hands on drugs in prison.

Diandra — who talks to a lot of newspapers for someone who doesn’t like showing off — reportedly told Spanish newspaper El Mundo: “Putting a drug addict in a jail is like putting a diabetic in a cake shop without treatment. It’s horrible that someone with money and famous parents should receive such tough punishment.”

Right. Only poor people with normal parents should go to jail.

She also insisted reports were wrong that she had lost a recent court battle for half of Michael Douglas’ salary and royalties from 2010 Wall Street sequel “Wall Street 2.”

Douglas, 69, and Diandra divorced in 2000 after 23 years of marriage. The “Wall Street” actor and Zeta-Jones have two children together, 12-year-old Dylan and 10-year-old Carys.
