Chrissy Teigen may not know every single detail about John Legend's many work-related projects, but she's undoubtedly her husband's biggest fan. And when Legend starred in last night's Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert on NBC, the proud wife and soon-to-be mom-of-two publicly praised her boo in her signature fashion—by live-tweeting the entire show.
For her more than 10 million Twitter followers, Teigen posted minute-by-minute concert updates and reactions. Beyond sharing her pre-show excitement and quippy commentary throughout the whole two-hour-and-20-minute event, Teigen also managed to shut down the celebrity Twitter trolls speaking ill of her man.
Most notably, the supermodel clapped back at Bill O'Reilly's Jesus Christ Superstar criticism in the most savage way.
The former O'Reilly Factor host took to Twitter with a some not-so-nice mockery directed at Legend's performance.
"Watching JC Superstar on NBC. Who knew Jesus of Nazareth ran a tattoo parlor? Geez," the former anchor tweeted, sarcastically jabbing at the production's modern context.
Clearly taking notice of the insult, Teigen responded to O'Reilly directly, commenting on his post just a few hours later. Mirroring his thinly veiled sarcasm, Teigen clapped back: "Yes the shop specializes in coverups that aren’t 32 million dollars."
Shots fired.
Teigen's blow refers to the New York Times story published last October, which stated that O'Reilly had paid a $32 million settlement to quiet a former female Fox News analyst who accused him of sexual harassment. According to the Times, she was the sixth employee to receive a settlement regarding the allegations of sexual misconduct against O'Reilly (who was forced out of Fox News last April after several harassment claims surfaced).
Chrissy Teigen did not let him off the hook. If we'd allow the Twitter-verse to be the judge last night's O'Reilly-Teigen sarcastic smackdown, it seems unequivocal—Chrissy won.
