Laura and Wayne need your help

Laura and Wayne have been dealing with a lot of life’s curve balls and they’ve reached a point where things have gotten very rough and due to medical costs/procedures and it’s toll on bills and necessities, their future has become very uncertain.
Laura has been in severe and constant pain for the past 3 years due to multiple health issues but the most difficult of these have been a severely herniated lumbar disk and thoracic bone spurs.
On January 1st, Wayne and Laura lost their dependable medical insurance and were forced into a plan that covers very little with an enormous deductible. Because of this Laura lost her mental health therapy which was paramount to her well being and they both lost their doctor of 20 years because he is not on the new mandatory plan.
Wayne is at the age when he should be retiring and instead he works 60 hours (6 10 hour days) on his feet with no end to this in sight. Laura’s condition doesn’t preclude her from working altogether as she maintains her home business but her health has slowed her down immensely and between the added costs and the poor medical insurance, they are in a terrible place. They have put a for sale sign on their older vehicle to go toward costs but it is taking awhile for anyone to bite. They don’t take vacations or spend money on luxury things - they even take care of hair cuts and the like at home and they do their best to fix things themselves if they break - they just do what they can to make their bills and at this point, they are way behind and more medical expenses are looming on the horizon.
Wayne would never ask anyone for a dime but he has been such a generous and supportive rock for so many throughout his life he genuinely deserves for life to give him a helping hand.
Laura is a gentle soul who has always been one to reach out to those in need. I can remember when she volunteered for "Cradle Care" and spent countless hours rocking drug addicted and alcohol syndrome babies in the neonatal unit at a local hospital. Her door has always been open for friends in need - she has provided shelter to many in dire circumstances. It is not in her nature to ask for help, but to offer it.
As of now the goal is to help them to get caught up and get stable so they don’t lose their home and the finances to help with pain management and medical assistance that Laura desperately needs. Getting her back into mental health therapy would also be so much better for her all around health as she has suffered from major depressive disorder and severe anxiety for many years. Back surgery may be an option in the future but not until they have been able to recover their former insurance and get some coverage that will make it possible. As it stands right now, just one standard injection costs them between $700 and $1,000 out of pocket and her physician is recommending more blocks to help with the severe thoracic pain. They have to cover the costs of more than 15 monthly prescriptions, some of which cost an exorbitant amount. They have had to borrow and shave everything down so far to make bills and they have hit a point where help is desperately needed so they don’t wind up without a place to live.
At the first of the year, things will get better as Wayne’s Medicare will kick in and he will be able to collect social security in addition to working and Laura will be able to switch back to her reliable insurance but the next 6 months are going to be the hardest they’ve ever faced financially or otherwise.
