New Zealand named their final squad for the 2010 World Cup in Auckland on Monday afternoon local time.
There were few surprises in the 23-strong roster with coach Ricki Herbert confirming most of the squad in the days and weeks previous to the final announcement.
The four places that were up for grabs went to midfielders Aaron Clapham, Jeremy Brockie, David Mulligan and Jeremy Christie.
Clapham, who plays for local side Canterbury United, is one of two uncapped players along with Denmark-based Winston Reid.
Aaron Scott is the only player named in the squad that defeated Bahrain in the World Cup play-off decider in November not to make the final cut while Herbert decided against taking four goalkeepers.
The All Whites will be led by Blackburn Rovers captain Ryan Nelsen at their first World Cup since 1982.
In South Africa, New Zealand will take on Italy, Paraguay and Slovakia in Group F.
Next week, the Kiwis kick off the final phase of preparations with a game against Australia in Melbourne, Then Herbert takes his players to Austria for tests with Serbia and Slovenia before moving to South Africa and a final match against Chile.
