Here's a little experiment I did combining human and bird anatomy to make... a wingy boi.
Now, humans would probably need something approaching a dozen meter wingspan to *actually* fly, but just think of all the great winghugs this guy would give!

Not many people include the pollex in anatomy and that makes me sad.
It's been crazy useful for me in my day-to-day.

Yeah I've thought about doing a piece exploring just bird and harpy hand/wings. Cause people often draw harpies with hands on their wing arms. And how does that work? Does the harpy have to hold their own wings outstretched while they fly? Wouldn't that cause the same strain that humans experience when typing on non-ergonomic keyboards? I can't imagine their arms and wrists *wouldn't* cramp from that.
One note of contention is the ribcage, I know you're going with a harpy human/bird thing but a 100% human ribcage is an anatomical no-no for wings. There's hardly anything to attach to!
If anything it should be a cross between a human's ribcage and a bird's pectus.

This is well done! As an avian, I confirm we give good hugs ^V^
