Things to see and do

Wine village, Santenay has some beautiful monuments and other buildings to enjoy during beautiful walks.

The Santenay castle, also called Philippe le Hardi castle, was built on an old 11th century castrum. Revamped in the 12th and 16th centuries, it is now associated with a wine estate on the Burgundy Grands Crus route. Its beauty lies in its charming Burgundy glazed tile roof, typical of the region. A spa center offers the benefits of the lithinated waters of the town's springs. After a break of a few years, they have been used again since the end of the 1990s.

The Saint-Jean de Narosse church is not lacking in charm. Built from 1220, the late Romanesque style blends harmoniously with the Gothic style of the choir. It is classified as a Historic Monument and can be visited on weekend afternoons during the summer season. The Sorine windmill is also worth a visit. Hiking trails starting from Santenay allow you to reach the summit of Mont de Sène culminating at 521 meters in height.
