By Garrett Hedlund has reportedly been offered the role of Captain Hook in Pan.
The Tron: Legacy actor is in talks to play the villainous character in the upcoming gritty remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Atonement director Joe Wright will helm the Warner Bros project, which is expected to be released in summer 2015.
Pan will centre around how Peter Pan and Hook started out as close friends, with the man who became Hook working as a member on Blackbeard's pirate ship.
Hugh Jackman was recently linked with playing Blackbeard, but this has yet to be confirmed.
Hedlund currently stars in the Coen brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis, while he will also star in Angelina Jolie's drama Unbroken in December 2014.
