Compatibility Note

Compatibility: This Memory Stick PRO Duo memory card will work only with Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo and Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible devices. If the instruction manual included with your Memory Stick device does not mention Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo compatibility, this memory card should not be used. It is also compatible with the MagicGate copyright protection system.

Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo: The Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo is a compact version of Memory Stick PRO. When used with an optional Memory Stick Duo adapter, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo can be used in any device where standard-sized Memory Stick PRO can be used.

Memory Stick Overview: Memory Sticks are memory cards that can be used with digital memory devices, such as digital cameras, camcorders and computers, equipped with a Memory Stick slot. When used with an appropriate adapter, they can be used in a PCMCIA Type II slot. PCMCIA Type II slot adapters are sold separately. The total capacity of this Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo is 4 GB, but some of the memory space is occupied by system management data; the actual usable memory space is 3.66 GB.

Write Transfer Speed: Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo can transfer data at much higher speeds compared to standard Memory Sticks. This media supports 8-bit parallel data transfer when used with Memory Stick PRO-HG compatible products that are specifically designed for 8-bit parallel data transfer and a minimum write speed of 30 MB per second. This media also supports 4-bit parallel data transfer when used with Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible products and a minimum write speed of 13 MB per second.

MagicGate: This Memory Stick PRO Duo employs MagicGate encryption technology in order to protect copyrights. It enables you to enjoy your own recordings as well as prevents unauthorized use.
