Born in San Pedro Cholula, Puebla in 1968
He discovered the world of painting by chance at the age of 12 thanks to a encounter in the streets of his hometown with a country painter who left him fascinated and dazzled by the magic of using color to make unique creations. .
From that moment on, he began self-taught training, consulting nearby libraries and practicing at home, without the knowledge of any family member.
In 1990 he met the teacher Eduardo Villanueva, who taught him for several years in the workshop he owned in the Barrio del Artista, in Puebla, where he also held his first individual exhibition in 1991.
Several years later he began as an assistant in a restoration workshop, which allowed him to learn and work with ancient techniques, techniques that he still uses in some of his works.
During this period he held several exhibitions, at the Cholula House of Culture, in 1993, at Santa Rosa Museum in 1995, at Fiesta Americana Hotel, in Puebla and at Casa del Caballero Águila in Cholula, in 1997.
In 2004 he moved to Tulum, in Riviera Maya, where his work is clearly influenced by the motifs and, above all, the colors of the Mexican Caribbean, it is at this stage when the fish appear profusely in his work, as a symbol of freedom of feelings, inner strength and courage of the soul. Another novelty that appears in his work is the use of stone paper, it is a paper that is literally made with stone (calcium carbonate) as a binder, non-toxic high-density polyethylene resin is usually used, which makes it durable and resistant to water. To manufacture this paper, no water, wood, energy or bleaching chemicals are required, which is the reason it's considered an ecological or environmentally friendly paper.
During his stay in Tulum he regularly participated in the Sea Turtle Festival (2004/10) and obtained second place in the Xcaret Turtle contest in 2007.
At the beginning of 2016 he moved to the north of Spain, where his work is once again influenced by the environment, it includes new experimental materials, such as soot, the motifs are also affected, the colors are darker and in the The topic often includes water. Numerous masks begin to appear at this stage, as a way of expressing the mystical, the sacred and the symbolic without implying having to enter into a religious aspect, but rather referring to what we experience as individuals.
In Spain, in 2016 he participated in a group exhibition in Madrid, and in the FIG Bilbao, during 2017 he held an exhibition at Casa de Cultura de Mieres and in 2018 he exhibited at La Revoltosa, in Gijón.
Returning to Mexico at the end of 2018, he settled in Tequisquiapan, where he held an individual exhibition at Plaza Pedregal in January 2019, participated with the Galería Rulfo in a group exhibition in July and exhibited individually at the Centro Seis gallery in December of that same year.
The first exhibition held after Covid19 is in Mexico City, in September 2021, with the Sala Marte Gallery, which presents the group exhibition “Despojando la normalidad”
