Scrubs: All Main Characters Ranked Worst To Best

Most people who loved this show will likely say that Dr Perry Cox is easily the best character in it.

John C. McGinley took full advantage of this role, as it was clear during every second Perry was on screen that he was having an absolute blast. This energy was utterly infectious and made watching the cruel and harsh character amusing despite how mean he could be.

A tonne of the humour came from the fact that he was so unpleasant, yet had a heart of gold. He cared about his patients and in a roundabout way, the doctors who he trained. His level of skill in his profession also gave the character a Sherlock Holmes (or more appropriately House) like quality which made him feel like an always reliable doctor.

However, his absolute severity and confidence meant that there were plenty of moments within the show where his walls would be broken down. This would lead to some of the most emotional sequences in the series.

Dr Perry Cox was the funniest, most serious and compelling character that this show had to offer.
