At the door of Queen Charlotte’s Cottage

Queen Charlotte’s Cottage, Kew Gardens, London, November 2020

This old thatched cottage, dating back to the late eighteenth century, was a place for royal family relaxation when walking in their gardens. It was never intended for residential use, but contains instead a gorgeous tea room with a view, and a room where Queen Charlotte hung her collection of collection of Hogarth prints.

COVID restrictions aside, the property is open to the public during the summer, and is situated in a charming wooded section of Kew Gardens.
