Roxy Music Essentials
25 TracksThe legendary English rock band Roxy Music were formed in 1970 by lead singer and songwriter Bryan Ferry and bassist Graham Simpson. In the early years the line-up included significant artist/producer Brian Eno. Roxy Music became a highly successful act in the 1970s with their more “sophisticated” style of glam rock, which very much influenced the new wave and synth pop sounds of the 1980s. Their self-titled debut album that was released in 1972 was well received, both by critics and the audience, and made it to number 10 in the UK Albums Chart. Ten years later the band released their eighth and final album ‘Avalon’. In 2019 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Enjoy here some of their finest moments. (Photo: Brian Cooke).
