Femslash February Day 1 prompt: black

This was inspired by @disneyfemslash ’s recent post.

I considered drawing some of our ladies in black tie, would anyone be interested to see that?

Even In The Blackest Night

“My sweet, let me take you away.”
To trust a fae would be unwise
But as she stared into her eyes
Her heart beat passion’s roundelay

“Come, sip with me sweet beaujolais,
And walk with me within the moors
My hand grasped tightly within yours.”
For far too long she’d worked and toiled,
She wanted love and to be spoiled.
They both raced out the manor doors

My girlfriend wrote a thing based off of my art! It was super sweet, I had asked her if she wanted to participate in femslash February this year and she was excited about maybe collaborating on some art together ❤️ 🍞✨️

My goodness gracious this blog is more than 10 years old…. I just noticed

A 2-by-3 moodboard of Cinderella and Maleficent, created using Disney and other screencaps. The whole moodboard if on a grayscale background. The first image is Lady Tremaine, holding a handkerchief in her hand, stolen from Cinderella's head. Cinderella is looking at Lady Tremaine, who is scowling at her. Above the image are the words 'Behind darkness'. The second image is Cinderella, sadly standing in front of a door, pressing her hand against the door. Underneath are the words 'Beneath candles.' The third image is Cinderella and Maleficent, standing on a balcony, looking at one another. Cinderella is giggling and Maleficent is smiling. Overlaid are the words 'Whispers waltz.' The fourth image is Maleficent and Cinderella, together in a dark room. Maleficent is holding a candle up, both Maleficent and Cinderella are smiling at one another. Overlaid are the words 'Around our dreams.' The fifth image is Cinderella's hands, pressing together a broken glass heart. The sixth image is Cinderella, standing in front of Maleficent, looking sad, as Maleficent talks. Beneath both images are the words 'The shortest distance.'ALT
A digitally composited image of Cinderella and Maleficent, created using Disney screencaps. The image is centered, with a grayscale border around it. Cinderella is in her silver gown. They are dancing, with Maleficent leading, holding one of Cinderella's hands, with her other hand on Cinderella's waist. Overlaid are the words 'Between two points is a line. From me to you.'ALT

Stay with me here. Lady Tremaine has been trying to break her stepdaughter’s spirit for years, but never been able to. She lands on ‘getting’ Cinderella a 'job’ in the castle of the Mistress of All Evil, assuming she would finally stop dreaming. She could never have imagined that not only would Maleficent not change Cinderella, but that Cinderella would enchant Maleficent.
