Sanju Samson has been flawless as a skipper in IPL 2024
Singh believes Sanju Samson can be the next T20I captain of India

After Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, former spinner Harbhajan Singh stated that Sanju Samson should be selected to represent India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Singh made the remarks following Samson’s standout performance in the field against MI.

Moreover, Harbhajan urged that Sanju Samson should be groomed as India’s future T20I captain once Rohit Sharma retires. Harbhajan also praised Yashasvi Jaiswal for bouncing back after a period of poor form. Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 104 off 60 balls, with 9 fours and 7 sixes.

He tweeted saying,

Samson has excelled in the current IPL edition, ranking as the Rajasthan Royals’ second-highest run scorer. In 8 games, he has accumulated 314 runs at an average of 62.80 and a strike rate of 152.42. His accomplishments include 3 half-centuries and a top score of 82 not out.

Samson has led the Rajasthan Royals with success in the 17th season. The team sits at the top of the table with 14 points and a +0.698 net run rate, having won 7 of their 8 matches. With the exception of their lone loss against the Titans, the Royals have been at the top of their game under Samson’s leadership.
