MEXICO CITY — The five popemobiles that will be used by Pope Francis on his visit to six Mexican cities were blessed on Monday.
The ceremony was presided by Archbishop Christope Pierre and Secretary-General of the Mexican Episcopate, Bishop Eugenio Lira.
The modified vehicles are not shielded, two are Jeep Wranglers and three are Dodge ram pickup trucks.
In addition, the pope will use six FIAT 500l vehicles for long journeys.
